There is a 3rd substyle for users that experience the infamous Oversized Start button issues. The same substyle should be used if you prefer the taskbar on top of your screen or you keep your taskbar locked.There is nopt a compact substyle for this. If needed I can whip one up.

Well, here is a blind im now ready to release, vista brushed.
unclerob seemed quite pleased with the modded version of his “Black Vista” i did, and allowed me to release it. Nice guy!

So, i……..lol, WE bring you VISTA BRUSHED.

I have totally redone it from the last screenshot i posted, and tried to get everything perfect. It is still based on unclerobs Black Vista template, so please, all credit to him. (with permission)

I am very greatful he has allowed me to release this, as i have tried making blinds in the past, but have been no-where near the quality of some of the work on this site, i hope ive done him proud. Thx dude

It works fine with Window Vista too and supports window shadows in Windows Vista.

Almost 70% of graphics have been changed, though I have tried to keep the original style.
Script and aesthetic bugs have been corrected. I hope.

Author’s Notes: Updated Black Vista Basic wb5 skin (v3.0) features several start panel substyles:
- full & compact solid (opaque) start panel
- full & compact transparent start panel
- full start panel with no action buttons (for those that don’t want action buttons on the windowframes)
- oversized start button
- vista style titlebar buttons with glow effect

Many improvements over v2.0 including updated windowframes and titlebar buttons, added glow button effects, added action buttons with overlay images with text description (transparent window button, rollup/unroll window, windowblinds page shortcut & windows media player), improved startpanel/moreprog area bkgrnd & item elements, skinned flat menus, updated taskbar/taskbar buttons/group menu bkgrnd, disabled userpane pic area & removed included wallpaper image, added off2k7 style scrollbar thumb & arrow buttons, updated control panel elements, updated ie7/vista style internet explorer toolbar icons, etc. Overall, a 100% improvement over the previous version of this skin.

Author’s Notes: It is strictly for Windows XP.. it has NOT been tested on Vista and is not for Vista. The walls used in screenshot are from Vista and I cannot include them. I do recommend that you use a high contrast wall with this theme as it will make the most of the transparency in the theme. There WILL be a seperate Vista version released in a few days. On my site I intend to have seperate XP and Vista sections.

This will be my last free release for a while. Ive Been asked to convert this many many times by people, I finally had a little time to kill so here it is VXP for windowblinds, I have skinned the menus and fixed all the cnversion errors i could locate, I just dont have the time to get to shutdowns or toolbars yet, I will update it as I have time to.

Author’s Notes: This is not a completely new skin. Quite a lot of the images are from my ‘Nuage’ skin, (which is available to buy at the link below!) and I decided I liked the shellstyle so much it deserved a new skin of it’s own. In the process I decided that I wanted to do a really transparent design – a kind of Aero alternative.

So here it is. Not new, not Aero, but all good.

There is no wallpaper included, but there are two different versions – one using red and blue and the other using green and orange (see the snapshot), and these are further split into XP and Vista versions.
