downloaded but can only install *.msstyles at properties/appearance/windows and buttons. so appearance and visual styles change but…
when i try to install *.theme file i receive following error msg:
“the theme could not be loaded because one of the needed files could not be found. this can happen with themes that are not installed or authored correctly.you should verify that the wallpaper, screensaver, icons, sounds, and other files are in the correct location.
Theme: C\Windows\Resources\Themes\Swift.theme
what am i doing wrong? i have run the uxtheme multi-patcher 4.0 and i assume it worked cause the *.msstyles are working… but somehow cannot get the *.theme file to work…
pls help

Looks nice and all,and it’s easy to install if you just be patiant and search the forums.The easiest way I found is to just open the folder you need to install it in.
I used 7zip to extract it since it’s a RAR file and installed it to C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes.You’ll have to open the folder you just extracted and cut/paste two files (swift folder and swift windows theme file) into the C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes folder.
You can now delete the RAR file and the folder you took these 2 from.Just click on the Swift windows theme file and then the dialog will pop up with the new look and click apply.
I’m no wiz at this stuff,but I use patience and commonsense which seems alot of people don’t have.Commonsense came into play when I seen this file is here and this one here so I’ll put these there and see if it works. AND IT DID!!! LOL

hmp it doesn’t work why? it says not authored i already placed it into windows resources theme folder same with this:

Anyone ever figure out why this Theme has issues with “Error Loading Theme”?

You have to unpack SwiftVS2_by_nzfx file. Enter that unpacked folder, SwiftVS2. Now, DO NOT COPY “swift.theme” file and “Swift” folder to Windows\Resources\Themes! Instead, go to that “Swift” folder, and COPY “swift 48px” file and “Shell” folder to Themes. Double click on “swift 48px”.
That’s it. Enjoy.
