installation
use vistaglazz (google) then patch ur windows file so u can use an visualstyle
put the folder in normal or autohide
in the windows>resources>themes folder
then go in personalize>window color and apparence then open classic appearance properties to change it
the browseui.dll i recommend to use either total commandor or restorator to change it, its located in windows>system32 folder, in restorator just run it as administrator open the browseui.dll from my theme, and replace it (make a backup of the old one, i think restorator do that for u)
and it should work after u restart explorer

love the look of the theme but it would be nice if it was a bit more complete ( as in, packaged with a .theme file and all. ) that way we could just double click the file and windows would do the rest.
what is the browseui.dll file for by the way? because when i changed it, i got a bsod. luckly its easy to restore.

I would love to use this but everytime I use a vista theme, it constantly disables windows aero, and reverts me to basic immmediately. I cannot use transparency =/

Why would there be a theme file? It isn’t a theme, it’s a visual style.

Could someone who managed to install this succesfully, post a step by step guide for the rest of us? I really like the look of this, but don’t understand the original instructions. Thanks in advance.

Ok for thos who cant seem to change files in system 32.. “change name dont overwrite” you still want the old one for backup trust me.. go to run in your start menu and type cmd.. when your in command propt type
takeown /f c:\windows\system32\filenamehere.dll
this will make your the “owner” then you can allow access thru properties…
your welcome
