GUI Mods Admin Note: Some users have trouble uninstalling this theme. Install at your own risk.
Note: Vista OS X VS has now been upgraded to a full-fledged OS X transformation pack that transforms your Vista into Leopard. Now includes a working uninstaller. Still, make sure you create a system restore point before installing the theme in case the uninstall does not work and you want to go back to original Vista theme.
Those who can not uninstall the old version, should upgrade to the new version and try uninstalling using the new uninstaller.

Why is this an EXE? you website seems suspiciously… sparse…. and you have us turn of security controls to run it. I mean it could be legit, but it sure doesn’t LOOK legit.
February 6th, 2008 at 11:20 am
Wow, im really regreting doing this, not only is its poorly designed and half done, you didn’t include any form of uninstall function. Thanks….
February 7th, 2008 at 8:24 am
Chris, it’s perfectly legit. There’s no download on GUI MODS that contains malwares.
The .exe file is probably for you convenience. Look in the start menu programs list for an uninstall option. And if you can’t find any, contact the author on deviantart.com for a solution.
Good luck.
February 9th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
The simple fact that they want you to turn off UAC is suspicious enough, I canceled the download because of that, along with the reviews of no uninstall file and its lack of completion. I’m disappointed to see something like on this site, everything else is so much … nicer!

You guys are retards. I’ve used VistaOSX before and it doesn’t contain any viruses, spyware, or malware. The reason you can’t download this anymore is because he has created a new version with an uninstaller. It looks pretty similar to osx, except for the fact that the close, minimize, and maximize buttons are on the right. So stop bitching.
March 18th, 2008 at 6:32 am
Oh and the reason you have to turn UAC off is because Vista won’t allow anything to modify the .dll files unless it is turned off. And why do you guys use UAC anyway? It’s a pain in the ass.
March 19th, 2008 at 6:06 am
Hey, is truth! That UAC (User Account Control) is a pain in the ass! So I never use it. I have many friends that come with usb flash drives fully infected with trojans, viruses, etc, and I never get infected. The reason is to have a good antivirus and a good eye for the viruses, also not clicking everything you see. Most of the people infected by viruses is because they clic everything viciously. Oops! my download finished! lets see! Good luck!
March 22nd, 2008 at 1:54 am
Ok Im not saying anyones a retard but I downlaoded the file and now my computer runs great and looks just like a mac! I have had no promlem at all and did not have to remove securities or anything. I rate this a 10 I am sorry that not everyone feels this way. Btw I do have an unistall button.

you can download the newest version here
so everybody stop bitching it even includes the program “lefsider” so you can have your close/min/max buttons on the left side and the K-Launcher for the launchbar at the bottom of your screen.

I have Windows Vista, I downloaded this program but there wasn’t an .exe file. I don’t have even the slightest clue how to get this to actually function. The only thing I was able to do was change the background and the style. Help anyone?
April 22nd, 2008 at 7:32 pm
i installed the new version with the “uninstaller” and cant get anything uninstalled for sh*t. Looks great though. But forget uninstalling it. impossible
April 23rd, 2008 at 5:59 am
wouldn’t download if you are just curious, uninstaller doesnt work.and i cant recover, stuck with ugly blue box icons, crappy boot logon and welcome screen.
April 29th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
Uninstaller doesn’t work
I agree with paul… Better do not install this thing!
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 am
It works, at least V3 does. I don’t know about V4 because I havent really tried it yet. V3 is great. You turn UAC off so the installer can change the log in screen and some other minor system files. If it doesn’t work all you have to do is run a system restore either from the vista disk or from your computer.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:11 am
I use this thing and now I can’t uninstall it. Please someone help. How come nobody seems to try solving this problem it’s a big problem! The reliability of this website could suffer with this Vista OSX that can’t be uninstall. How can you build something with an uninstall that doesnt even work???
Help Us please.

Multiple widgets in rocket bar do not work; uninstall feature does not work on multiple systems. Doing a system restore and going back to aero.
May 14th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
If you encounter error messages after removing the programs or after using the program, need not panic as everything is reversible. This program automatically creates a restore point where you can restore everything to an earlier time, before you installed the program. Go to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Click on Restore My Computer to an earlier time and choose the date in bold. This process will restore your computer system to an earlier time before you installed Vista OS X.

I cant because it has now mad it to where when i got to log into my account it cant start explorer.exe so i cant even log in. And yes i have tried to start explorer.exe manually in taskmanager but when i try to start it it cant even initialize taskmanager. this is bull. im gonna have to do a full restore. DO NOT INSTALL THIS PRODUCT!!!!!
May 22nd, 2008 at 6:57 am
Hi All,
I have faced the same problem. Vista OSX installed but no explorer.exe, no dwm.exe, not even the task manager runs. You can’t even spawn a task not even delete/kill a process. It sucks man….
Here is what you can try to resolve:
Press F8 when ur system starts/boots up.
Start windows in safe mode
Go to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
Click on Restore My Computer to an earlier time and choose the date
This should help all whose PCs are screwed up.
I am also going to try this option since I screwed my PC yesterday with this install. Lets hope for the best…

June 12th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
only way to get rid of this is to restore.. be carefull..
June 12th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
When it says “make sure you create a system restore point before installing the theme in case the uninstall does not work and you want to go back to original Vista theme”, I’m totally confused! Pleeez HELP!
June 12th, 2008 at 6:15 pm
And another thing! Whenever I open up the Finder, It gives me an error and I can’t open it up! How do I fix it?!?!?!?
June 13th, 2008 at 10:27 pm
I’m glad i read the reviews before installing because this seems like something that would mess up your computer! I WOULD NOT INSTALL IF I WERE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 13th, 2008 at 10:44 pm
F*** Vista OS X. I had to format my hard drive and reinstall vista to get my computer working good again. I guess thats what you have to do en order to uninstall crappy Vista OS X. DO NOT INSTALL THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF YOU WANT THE MAC LOOK, GET A APPLE, NOT THIS CRAPPY VISTA OS X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 14th, 2008 at 12:05 pm
Another troubled VistaOSX install story. I installed this some time ago but did not reallize until later that I could not show the file dialog box in Office 2007. Now the only way I can open a file there is to double-click it from explorer. The file dialog box just causes a busy cursor for a second and then goes away – no error messages. Now I cannot do a restore because some additional changes have been made and I do not want to go back that far. Too bad there is not a decent uninstaller!
June 14th, 2008 at 11:36 pm
i installed vistaosx a few weeks back (it worked great, i am extreamly impressed)
the easy to install .exe makes things a whole lot easier
one request i have though is that you make the install .exe backup all the original files, then have an uninstall .exe to restore the originals and uninstall vistaosx if anything goes wrong
June 27th, 2008 at 12:06 am
But it has the theme windows to run at start up every time I turn my PC on
June 27th, 2008 at 12:07 am
quite annoying, in my opinion
June 27th, 2008 at 12:08 am
And it has no uninstaller, there’s one but that one can’t be used anymore
June 29th, 2008 at 8:12 am
DON’T INSTALL THIS! It works but with many issues. Once you try to uninstall, YOU CAN’T.The uninstaller does nothing more then make your theme options open up and runs vista theme but DOES NOT remove any of the programs that were installed. Once more it F*** up your system restore so you CAN’T go back to earlier settings.
June 30th, 2008 at 1:41 am
Please do not, install this product. Even if…
People say that it is good, because it may not be uninstalled
People say that you can use system restore, when your system may create an alternate one automatically when you don’t know it
People say that it works seamlessly, when it could slow down your computer and affect your office programs.

Hi Guys ..
These are following issues with VISTA OSX.. So I thought to mention you , so that you can resolve your issue.
1.If Vista OSX installed but no explorer.exe, no dwm.exe, not even the task manager runs. You can’t even spawn a task not even delete/kill a process.
Here is what you can try to resolve:
Press F8 when ur system starts/boots up.
Start windows in safe mode
Go to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
Click on Restore My Computer to an earlier time and choose the date
2. If themes is reopening again and again .. Please Disable UAC and then restart the machine again , It will resolve your problem.
3. If leftsider.dll file not found error then download this file from net and save it in Vista OX folder under program files.
4. If some of the docklet is not working e.g Finder , Right click the docklet and click on docklet properties and change the path .. because path is wrong.
5. The only problem which I was unable to sort till now is Since I installed Vista OSX , I am unable to use RUN utility in Vista so , if anybody know this issue , please help me to resolve it ..
Thanks….Hope this will help you guys …

I’ve been using Vista OS X from this designer/creator for some time now. They constantly have bugs and ruin your computer. For some reason I keep upgrading to his “newer” versions since he always claims to fixed all the bugs.
I’ve had to reformat both of my computers since using this program. Despite having an Uninstaller and it telling me the program has been uninstalled….there is in fact no change. This thing can not be removed from my computer.
Patrick, the creator, does not reply to my numerous emails and messages sent to him to try and work this out.
DO NOT USE THIS…if you want a mac, go buy one. Faking the funk only ruins our computers.

this is great, had it up for 3 months, so far so good, i can’t believe people are having problems with this…
July 13th, 2008 at 8:39 am
Guys, this actually works, and there is no spyware added -_-;;
I installed it to my laptop that runs Windows, because I was tired of Vista’s look compared to what I usually see on my OS X.
It works, anyone who tells you otherwise is a moron.
July 15th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
Hmm… I was considering installing this, but I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews on a few different websites. Maybe I’ll just save up some money for a Mac Mini.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
can i turn on UAC button after installing Vista OS X??? can i turn off Vista OS X with the UAC still on???
July 17th, 2008 at 4:13 am
i installed vista osx before, and i sincerely loved it. However, my office could no longer “save as” any kind of document. Luckily I was able to restore my computer. I was wondering if it was posible to maybe choose which parts of the program I can install to fix this problem.
July 17th, 2008 at 4:15 am

July 17th, 2008 at 5:18 am
is there any way to avoid this microsoft office thing?
July 17th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
I cant get rid of it!!! Please help i’ve tried system restore to before I installed it but it didn’t help and the rubbish uninstaller doesn’t work. Would getting rid of vista service pack 1 disable it?
July 19th, 2008 at 2:58 am
I’ve installed this and now I have no sound and media player doesn’t work. Does anyone know what might be going on?
July 19th, 2008 at 4:19 am
I installed the Vista OS X program and it does work pretty cool. The only problem I’ve encountered (so far) is that I can’t save any documents in Office 2007. I’m glad I found this out before I started on any important documents or presentations. does anyone know a workaround for this? I haven’t tried to uninstall and reinstall 2007. Will try that when I get home from prison…oh…and I work there, I’m not an inmate.
July 20th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
OK, I found a solution to the Office 2007 problem. Right mouse click on the office icon you want to open and select “Run as administrator.” It’s an extra small step, but at least I can use Office. I’ll have to try to find a way to allow to it to be used as an administrator from the OS taskbar. If I find it, I will let you know, or, if you figure it out, please let me know. Good luck!
July 20th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
So..?? Should I Try this or not, guys? I tried it once, but it was downloaded from the above from the original links (rapidshare, upload USA, etc) Today I try to download from the original link (it never worked before, today it worked, walah… surprise). Is there any difference, patrick? Thanks
July 20th, 2008 at 5:59 pm
Oh ya, forgot to mentioned (silly me), the first trial is a success failure… That’s why i am asking about the differences between those upper links and the original one (the 12 slots download from your server). Thanks
July 22nd, 2008 at 5:43 pm
Quick question:
Program has worked great for me, no issues, nice eye candy. I installed it in my laptop and my desktop as well. In my laptop the close/minimize/max buttons are in the right hand side, which really works for me.. but in my desktop those buttons switched to the left hand side which do NOT work for my purposes.
Is there a way to move the close/minimize/max buttons back to the right hand side?
Thanks in advance
July 23rd, 2008 at 5:24 pm
For return in default Windows Aero need open Personalization > Window Color and Appearance > Open classic… > Appearance Settings and here is two “Windows Aero”. One – Default Microsoft, another from Vista OS X. Select and have fun!

Installed on Vista SP1 without flaws
Saved me a lot of time customizing. Just read ALL of the limited instuctions provided to you and install with confidence
Cudos to and thankyou for the putting together of this package
August 10th, 2008 at 4:00 am
Yep… I can confirm that download has multiple trojans. I tried it tonight and my AV software caught multiple different trojans in the install. Stay away.
August 10th, 2008 at 4:15 pm
guys! the original files are still in your computer. .vfinal was just added to the end of all the original dll files. you dont have to reformat your pc’s/laptops. hope this helps.
August 18th, 2008 at 11:36 pm
Here’s my problem. Sigh.
I installed this back in March or so (V3). I ran the uninstall and no good; I restored and no good. Recently, I went into my system via Ubuntu and restored the backed-up files. However, I still see “OSX Edition” in the log-on screen AND I cannot turn UAC on. If I do, the system fails to load a mess of files on reboot.
Now I need UAC in order to install a network printer at school…but I’m up a creek. I’ve done all that I could do in terms of restoring the system from back-ups…does anyone have any ideas to help?
August 21st, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Great Post!
August 23rd, 2008 at 1:03 am
ive been tryin to install it but no good thats a good thing according to these posts i got a better version[not vista os x]with no trojans[its a theme]but it works exactly the same but it takes a little bit mored time and u can just go to themes and change it to the default one GOOD THING I DIDNT INSTALL THIS
August 30th, 2008 at 1:17 am
Ok so I downloaded this [not from here though!] installed it ran and I got the dock part which I was pretty happy about as I got to play about with it [and the fan extension], wallpaper, sounds etc. But the only disappointment was with the theme overall or should I say the colour and appearance. As it looks nothing like this [http://www.vistaosx.net/media.htm] but more like windows classic, which I hate and still has the normal dash, square & X’ ‘buttons instead of the red, yellow and green ones. Also i thought there would’ve been a log in screen or am I thinking of Flyakite. Anyways if someone could reply back with a solution or just e-mail at dannyb2009@hotmail.co.uk [no spam!] that’d be great as I could have my Mac experience complete. I love the designs of Macs and their software appearances but I gotta stay with Windows for gaming power! Btw I made sure I downloaded lastest version and I’m running 32 bit system please please help!

hey guys just wondering if i can get my taskbar put on the top instead of the bottom? any help would be sweet
September 5th, 2008 at 10:57 pm
OK, thanks to Stupidpeeps’ suggestion, I have UAC back. As suggested, I ran the uninstaller available as http://rapidshare.com/files/114231099/Uninstall.exe (after first making sure I had a save point). I still have the OS-X logo in My Computer/Properties, but that I can live with.
September 6th, 2008 at 11:04 pm
hey, you shoulod just be able to drag the taskbar to the top of the creen…..
September 9th, 2008 at 3:16 am
I thought this was suspicious but i have downloaded successfully other themes and have them work fine. the exception is this theme. no matter where i try to download it from my anti-virus is flagged for several pieces of malware and other viruses. be VERY suspicious!
September 11th, 2008 at 5:26 am
Guys, I am using this since last couple of days and its working perfectly fine. Wanted to feel the OSX UI before getting myself a MacBook Pro.
its one of the best transformation pac so far !
September 14th, 2008 at 4:15 am
ok im worried but i downloaded from the official site http://www.vistaosx.net/downloads.htm it tell you haw to install it and such. i only wanted the dock so i didnt change the theme im gunna try to uninstall and get back to you
September 14th, 2008 at 5:47 am
ok i got rid of it but wile running the uninstaller that you have to download separately but there was an error and i dont know what it did i also had to boot in linux to get rid of the vistaosx folder and cant get rid of the start menu folder. i say its a bad program because it was a half assed program that realy needed to be tested before releasing it, the program itself looks and works perfect BUT not having the ability to uninstall it or turn UAC back on (for network devices and restore options) sucks all i wanted was the dock thats all and half of the shortcuts didnt work on this dock.
September 14th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
ok now im missing the restart, shutdown options in the start menu WTF and the pic for the vista symbol in the system info is still the vistaosx symbol
September 20th, 2008 at 6:38 am
Everything’s just fine till i realize that this software has a trouble when i try to “open with…” some file or saving office document….
please help me to solved it…
September 21st, 2008 at 2:31 pm
If you download the correct version, everything will work fine, it looks good, and it comes with an uninstaller. HOWEVER, there was, at one time, a fake file on rapidshare that had malware on it. I don’t know if it has since been removed, but make sure you download it from a good source.

Man, this is one beautiful package for Vista! I have installed it several times on several machines and I love it. Very complete and with all the tweaking available you can really have a good old fashioned OS X-like experience without all the performance hits. I use it with ObjectBar to complete the Mac-like look. Thanks for all the hard work, it installs flawlessly and works like a charm. With the UXTheme patch it is fast and not a resource hog. And the trojan comments above? Duh, it is doing trojan-like activities (like replacing system files) so of course you’ll get trojan warnings. Did you stop to read what they said? Shees. A question, it used to skin my Office 2007 apps, now it doesn’t. I monkeyed with some other stuff like VistaGlazz too (I tweak everything) and that might be the cause. How do I get my office skinning again?

EVERYBODY WHO WANTS THIS PILE OF C*** OFF OF THEIR PC LOOK HERE. type in you search box in your start menu the following: msconfig
Now that you’ve done that you go to the startup tab, and uncheck the items used in vista os x such as RK launcher and the theme file.
Unfortunately I’m not sure how toactually uninstall this because whilst UAC is turned off, it retypes your system config and messes your registry up. But not to worry :] Good luck! Hope it works for you guys!

This has properly messed up my laptop. I hvae used the uninstall thing, which doesnt seem to work. but loads of the options from start have gone, system restore has been disabled. and also my virus scanner found a trojan in it when i installed it.

October 6th, 2008 at 12:50 am
hey….i installed vista OSX and now my vista computer sounds are gone, ALL OF THEM! cant hear a thing! somebody help!!!
October 6th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Don’t install Vista OSX, it’s not worth the trouble. Had to restore my computer back to a previous restore point, as vista osx prevented explorer.exe from working. NOT WORTH THE POTENTIAL RISK!!

GOT OFFICE SAVE PROBLEM? – SOLUTION FOUND!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Go to your Microsoft Office Folder by: going into whatever drive you installed it in -> Program Files -> Microsoft Office 2007 -> Office12
Then, for each application (i.e. word, excel, ppt, publisher, etc.), right click on it, go to Properties.
In the Compatibility Tab, check “Run this program as an administrator”. Then, click the “Show settings for all users”, a new dialog box will appear. Again, check “Run this program as an administrator”, click APPLY and OK. Then click APPLY and OK again for the Properties dialog box. Do this for all the Office applications. VOILA!~~ Now you can save!
October 7th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
BTW, there is no malware in Vista OS X. For all of you that don’t understand computer as much as the geeks, the reason why your antivirus programs tell you that it is a trojan is because it’s doing what a trojan does, changing system files. Well, in order for the skin to work, it’s gotta change the system files, right? The transformation pack changes the system files safely and will not cause a problem to your system.
October 8th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
Im not sure how to instal ive downloaded vista osx 4 and i cant seem to get it installed, ive turn uac off and have service pack 1 installed, it pops up an installer in german i think, and no matter what option i choose it lead to the same end result another pop up with a error message, anyone else experience that or know how i can get this installed, thx
October 14th, 2008 at 11:48 pm
OK guys alot of you have been having trouble with this theme as have I……The main problem is the uninstaller actually uninstalls all of the components it changes in the startup and theme settings from windows so instead of putting back the original files it just deletes them totally…..I like the way Vista OS X looks and works but not being able to use the Open With feature in all of windows is a major negative……The other downfall is not being able to use the open…save…save as…etc…..there is a slight bypass for this…….when opening a program such as word right click and open as admin. instead of just double clicking…….it is an extra step but it works……If you do not want this on your PC anymore it can be a pain to get rid of as the uninstaller doesnt work……the only way I have found and read successful is to save all the files you really need to a backup drive and actually do a factory reboot……yes it sucks!

October 27th, 2008 at 10:39 pm
Just get yourselves a freakin mac and u don’t have to worry about anythin.. Not even a single virus. Quit whining and get a mac!
October 30th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
This theme is perfectly safe, and looks like a good quality Mac. The only problem is that the Dock that comes with it is insecure, so i recommend that you download RocketDock. Looks fine and all, if i was you I’d buy a mac but this theme is brilliant if you cannot.
October 30th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
To the above mac heads (why this is way better than a mac): a real Mac has good things and terrible things. The UI and features are great (and you get those with this mods) the fact I cannot run 3DS Max, Softimage XSI, or play DeadSpace, Mass Effect, Crysis, The Witcher and a godzillion others is the bad part. (don’t even start me on “I have a console” as I don’t like to overpay games -$60???- that run at 30FPS with stutters, aliasing and what not).
Why on earth one should overpay a computer that doesn’t run all softwares and games it’s beyond me…

i install it but some of my programs has a problem w/RK launcher also its slow down ur pc battery runs out fast due to many running application cannot re install thanks i have a original OS of Vista i was able to reformat it also beware when you download there a trojan in it.So my advice not to install it original is the best buy an apple pc instead.
November 22nd, 2008 at 3:59 pm
DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY VERSION OF THIS!
This is some of the worst stuff found on the Internet, EVER.
Impossible to uninstall, cant even use System Restore, and the “Uninstaller” doesnt work. Great… Whoever made this, is a big fat monkey..
November 25th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
If you’ve read through this whole thread, you’ve probably notice that the only people who praise this Theme are people who haven’t tried to remove it. I installed it today, and regretted it. The Theme was snazzy. But the Themes service was broken. Running System Resore failed no matter which point I used. I’m running Vista Business SP1.
I just successfully removed it. Here’s to do it:
1) Make sure UAC is disabled (there are posts above that will help you do that).
2) Start > Run > type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes > Enter. Let System File Checker run. You may need your Windows Install media to do this.
3) Start > Run > type “msconfig” without the quotes > Enter > Startup tab > uncheck the line that references “OSX” > close msconfig.
4) Reboot in Safe Mode.
5) Use System Restore to restore to an earlier point before you installed Vista OSX 09.
6) Once System Restore is complete and you’ve booted to standard mode, delete the folder/files at c:\VisaOSX09.

Hello.
Yeah I have been waiting for the 64bit version. Finally came. Made a restore point. Installed vista os x. Had some major issues in the begging. Vista os x theme was set and applied and everytime i restart the computer all i got was the vista os x startup screen and when windows loaded it was a normal windows setup. Then i went to the themes and there were 2 vista os x themes. Both different. Anyways got it to work but some of the features did not install correctly for some reason. When i go to my computer my dvd drive has a windows icon then later it changed to a green mac icon now back to windows. If i am on a site where i need to upload a photo and browse my hardrive i cannot do the list/large/medium/small/detail icon view. Also in the screenshots of vista os x the windows welcome center shows the mac X mine does not. My internet explorer back and foward buttons did not change either. If anyone had better luck with these things and know how to get them to work reply to the thread. Thanks

To all those who are curious, don’t waste your time. I installed vista os x, and while the visuals were enjoyable, when I went to save a word document, i found myself unable to do so. I know several other users have had the same problem. I have been trying to uninstall it for a day or so, but to no avail. the uninstaller that came with it is completely useless and does absolutely nothing, and it doesnt show up in the add/remove program menu. i’ve tried removing it in safe mode with no luck, and i have also tried using a restore point, at which time my computer freezes.
my next option is to format my hard drive (not that I would mind doing this, just inconvenient)
to all of you reading this who want to download vista os x, think again. unless of course you have no problems with never being able to save a document again

This is a pretty good program worth downloading if want your vista computer to look like a mac. Just go to the real link,
http://www.vistaosx.net
I downloaded it and got bored with it in about three days, so I tried uninstalling. Didn’t work. So I followed some other users directions and uninstalled it perfectly. Here’s the directions (again),
1. Start windows in safe mode. (restart computer and tap F8.)
2. Once in Safe Mode go Start- All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore.
3. Choose a date when Vista OS X was not installed and restore.
I hope this helps all the people still freaking out. Other wise I thought this was a great program.

To the RIch guy…The reason internet explorer isnt working is because you have to redirect the file, right click the icon in the dock and hit folder, go to program files, internet explorer, and then “iexplore.” Now this should work, also everyone who says there is trojans please read Mrsoymilks commment. He knows what he is talking about..
January 4th, 2009 at 8:55 am
also, there may be something wrong with this link which is maybe a reason your computers are messing up, go to the actual website and download that link..

But most of u sound ,as if u still wear nappies – OMG! I need an uninstaller,OMG! this doesn’t work or that doesn’t work!

February 5th, 2009 at 4:40 am
THIS FUCKING thing fucked up the icons in my control panel, and AFTER system restore (I always make a restore point before installing any potential SHIT from the net) it was still FUCKED UP.
So, what i did was DOWNLOAD 5 or 6 DLL files listed on UNINSTALL procedure bullshit from other sites, and put those dll files into /windows/system32/. VIOLA! all came back to normal.
THEN next day, NORTON virus found SHITLOAD of viruses in the registry. LUCKily, norton got rid of all the viruses, but i have to wait and see.
I THINK THIS FUCKER WHO WROTE THIS PROGRAM IS A HUNTER WHO IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CERTAIN TARGET MARKET, MAKING MONEY OFF OF ADS IN HIS SITE. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOMEONE HACK, OR PUT VIRUS ON THIS FUCKING SITE.
February 6th, 2009 at 7:28 pm
I cannot stress this enough:
DON´T INSTALL THIS PIECE OF SHIT!
It completely screwed up my system, and its IMPOSSIBLE to uninstall, despite the claims on this jerk´s website.
Only solution that really works is to reinstall vista – and all your programs FROM SCRATCH.
If this idiot lived near me, he would be up for an asskicking.
DON´T INSTALL THIS!!!!
February 9th, 2009 at 3:23 am
You dorks need to disable UAC before you do anything… Duh!
Tweak UAC does this effortlessly and I’d recommend you try learning something about programming before you criticize someone else’s hard work and creativity!
This is exactly why Apple users will always have an upper hand on Windows users, because their intelligence is not that of an ass monkey!
February 13th, 2009 at 1:40 am

But now, I read this whole thread and 95% of you all hate it. The other 5% all have macs. Lol. Thanks for helping me out all you, hope your problems are fixed.

March 15th, 2009 at 5:39 am
Hi
Firstly to the users saying oh no that they thought it was suspicious turning off the UAC. Firstly the UAC is bs! It’s a mod… oh no.. vista doesn’t like it… who gives a sh!t. Any one who knows anything about IT disables that as soon as they install it. Also they guy made it for free.. stop whining if it doesn’t fully work. Some of the file path’s didn’t quite add up but use your common sense and rectify broken links. It’s not hard! The application seems to install into your root and you just have to common and paste links.
Also to the users who are complaing that is fcuked up their computers. No one held a gun to your head and said you had to install it. If your scared about it don’t install it. Don’t blame the guy who made it just because your a idiot who doesn’t know what your doing. I’m running Vista 64 and it works fine!
Cheers the way. Job well done!
April 13th, 2009 at 1:46 pm
Hi, when i had this theme i really liked it, but i got sp2 and i doesnt work (on the official website it says it only works with sp0 or sp1) so if you want to keep the theme DO NOT DOWNLOAD SP2! btw this really good i like the startup logo, but ive found an alternative
May 2nd, 2009 at 3:53 am
DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS I TRIED TO UNINSTALL IT AND NOW MY COMPUTER WON’T WORK!!!
May 5th, 2009 at 5:08 pm
I fuck the vistaosx program producers. Why you are making a stupid program like this.
May 10th, 2009 at 5:09 pm
I really want this. I had it once, but I freak out and restored my computer. Now i want it back.
May 12th, 2009 at 3:56 pm
So I wanted to add that my experience was terrible. It corrupted a driver in Vista64, and didn’t work with an uninstall.
I did not do a system checkpoint as suggested, that is my own fault.
I strongly recommend avoiding this product. I’m a mac addict, but Vista is better without this program.

FOR ALL PEOPLE THAT CANT UNINSTALL I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, JUST DO SYSTEM RESTORE AND SET THE BACK TO BEFORE YOU DOWNLOADED IT.
