Note: Vista OS X VS has now been upgraded to a full-fledged OS X transformation pack that transforms your Vista into Leopard. Now includes a working uninstaller. Still, make sure you create a system restore point before installing the theme in case the uninstall does not work and you want to go back to original Vista theme.
Those who can not uninstall the old version, should upgrade to the new version and try uninstalling using the new uninstaller.

Why is this an EXE? you website seems suspiciously… sparse…. and you have us turn of security controls to run it. I mean it could be legit, but it sure doesn’t LOOK legit.

Chris, it’s perfectly legit. There’s no download on GUI MODS that contains malwares.
The .exe file is probably for you convenience. Look in the start menu programs list for an uninstall option. And if you can’t find any, contact the author on deviantart.com for a solution.

The simple fact that they want you to turn off UAC is suspicious enough, I canceled the download because of that, along with the reviews of no uninstall file and its lack of completion. I’m disappointed to see something like on this site, everything else is so much … nicer!

You guys are retards. I’ve used VistaOSX before and it doesn’t contain any viruses, spyware, or malware. The reason you can’t download this anymore is because he has created a new version with an uninstaller. It looks pretty similar to osx, except for the fact that the close, minimize, and maximize buttons are on the right. So stop bitching.

Oh and the reason you have to turn UAC off is because Vista won’t allow anything to modify the .dll files unless it is turned off. And why do you guys use UAC anyway? It’s a pain in the ass.

Hey, is truth! That UAC (User Account Control) is a pain in the ass! So I never use it. I have many friends that come with usb flash drives fully infected with trojans, viruses, etc, and I never get infected. The reason is to have a good antivirus and a good eye for the viruses, also not clicking everything you see. Most of the people infected by viruses is because they clic everything viciously. Ok Im not saying anyones a retard but I downlaoded the file and now my computer runs great and looks just like a mac! I have had no promlem at all and did not have to remove securities or anything. I rate this a 10 I am sorry that not everyone feels this way. Btw I do have an unistall button.

so everybody stop bitching it even includes the program “lefsider” so you can have your close/min/max buttons on the left side and the K-Launcher for the launchbar at the bottom of your screen.

I have Windows Vista, I downloaded this program but there wasn’t an .exe file. I don’t have even the slightest clue how to get this to actually function. The only thing I was able to do was change the background and the style. Help anyone?

i installed the new version with the “uninstaller” and cant get anything uninstalled for sh*t. Looks great though. But forget uninstalling it. impossible

It works, at least V3 does. I don’t know about V4 because I havent really tried it yet. V3 is great. You turn UAC off so the installer can change the log in screen and some other minor system files. If it doesn’t work all you have to do is run a system restore either from the vista disk or from your computer.

I use this thing and now I can’t uninstall it. Please someone help. How come nobody seems to try solving this problem it’s a big problem! The reliability of this website could suffer with this Vista OSX that can’t be uninstall. How can you build something with an uninstall that doesnt even work???

Multiple widgets in rocket bar do not work; uninstall feature does not work on multiple systems. Doing a system restore and going back to aero.
